Originally from a mixed farm back I am a mature age professional who has progressed through the nation's agriculture industry to obtain rewarding experiences and competencies in several industry domains.
I am tertiary qualified in agriculture and education, and have held executive portfolios and senior management positions both in the private and government sectors. I am also accredited in several courses that add dimension to my skill set.
As a pragmatic professional I have been engaged in agriculture R&D, farm production systems, product storage & handling, processing, value adding, and marketing product, both domestic and international.
I enjoy being in the outdoors and relish the opportunity to get the hands dirty. Equally, I can easily function in an office environment and the corporate world.
Financial management, staff management, strategy planning, quality systems, professional development, project management, natural resource management, and computer manipulation feature prominently in my repertoire of skills,
Industry experiences pertain to production horticulture, fodder production, new crop development, livestock and mixed farm systems. These experiences have equipped me with a set of skills that are readily transferrable to other industry commodities.
